#PassafireEuro15 Journal – June 23, 2015

We’re approaching our first month in Europe.  So far, we’ve played 17 shows (1 cancelled due to weather).

Highlights of this tour thus far:

  • – paying less than 50¢ for a beer in Prague
  • – visiting the Dachau concentration camp (such an emotional experience)
  • – playing on a 1964 fishing ship in Hamburg then walking down Reeperbahn in the St. Pauli district
  • – taking the train all over Berlin
  • – playing in front of an energetic crowd at Sommerkult in Düsseldorf
  • – seeing the medieval town of Rothenburg
  • – performing in front of our oldest crowd to date in Tauberbischofsheim
  • – drinking delicious beer (but missing my American IPA’s)
  • – eating schnitzels, kebabs and every type of Haribo candy ever made
  • – chasing little kids who robbed an old lady… they got away 🙁
  • –  destroying our ear drums in Dachau… Thanks stupid monitor guy!
We still never know what to expect on any given day, but we’re making the best of what ever comes!
